Leona Susan Scalf was born February 17, 1872 in Harrison, Arkansas and died November 5, 1956 in Clark County, Nevada. Samuel Scalf is listed as the father and (Anna Eliza) Bickford as the mother on the death certificate of Leona Susan Scalf; but if all the dates are correct, Samuel is too young to be the father. After reviewing the census data below, Samuel is approximately ten years older then Leona Scalf. It appears that an older brother of Samuel or someone else is the father of Leona Scalf. However, it appears that after the erosion of time combined with fading memories, the family was convinced that Samuel Scalf was the father of Leona Scalf.
