Jim Wardlow was called home by his Lord and Savior to join his wife Debbie in heaven on December 16, 2023 at the age of 73. He was born on May 11, 1950 in Quebec City, Canada and adopted by loving parents James and Maria Wardlow who raised him and his younger brother, Bill, and older sister Claire in Long Beach, California. After graduating from Lakewood High School, he served two years in the U.S. Army, from 1968-1970.
Jim and Debbie adopted their daughter, Allyson, in 1985 while living in Medford, Oregon and primarily resided in Washington before moving to Rathdrum, Idaho after their retirement in 2017.
Jim was a man of Christian faith, known for his kind and generous heart, and was a friend to everyone he met. He was very active in his church and led a Thursday Bible study group for years. He was also heavily involved in the Family Promise ministry providing meals and shelter for families in need, as well as the leader of the ‘Caring Crew’ which serve isolated elderly and special needs community members to ensure they do not feel left alone or forgotten.
